Handover Engineer (Electrical and Instrumental & Completion Engineer)
Description & Background:
Join the HPC MEH Program at a pivotal moment in the UK's nuclear energy infrastructure development. As part of the team preparing to build the first nuclear power station of a generation, you'll play a critical role in system handover processes, ensuring seamless transition from installation to commissioning.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical and I&C system handover from MEH JV to MEH Program and Commissioning
- Update and review system handover procedures and guidance
- Instruct Joint Ventures in drafting Electrical and I&C End of Erection Status Reports (EESR)
- Track system handover schedules
- Conduct site walkdown checks with multiple stakeholders
- Review EESR documents
- Support closure of comments and punch list items
- Prepare documentation for Functional Takeover, Turnover for Isolation, and Takeover for Maintenance
- Identify and address installation issues proactively
- Write lessons learned from handover processes
Experience Required:
- Strong technical background in electrical, I&C, or electronic engineering
- Degree in relevant science or engineering
- Experience in nuclear industry or regulated environments
- Proven expertise in installation, commissioning, or maintenance
- Technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Strong networking and influencing capabilities
- Understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements
- Chartered Engineer status
Salary, Hours and Location:
- £250 PAYE to £350 UMBRELLA per day
- Based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset
- Long term, Full time
